About Us

The Sole Manufacturing Company, ELLEDI, was founded in January 1980 by two brothers, who now also work with their children on new visions and ideas.

The company started out in a rented room but, thanks to a passion for this work, it developed over time into an environment suited to its own needs and production requirements, continuing to grow. Between 1990-2000, it reached an average of 700,000 pairs of soles manufactured per year.

Most are made of leather, which we value and prefer, thanks to its very high quality, even if we also treat other types of material, such as rubber, or the like.

OUR WORKMANSHIP

The passion we put into making artisanal soles is rewarded by what we can create from the butt of hides. The processing stage consists of different types of sole grooving and re-grooving techniques, with already applied welts. We can then carry out different types of injections and laser engravings, which allow us to create actual drawings.

We offer multiple welt applications: leather, windlass, drawn with the most diverse stitching techniques, studs, or raised or rimmed ridges. Finished sole edges are proposed in various styles: rounded, even, half- rounded, half-even.
We also offer a vast choice of colors, starting from natural for leather soles, all the way to pastels.

Finally, our best finish is the aged sole effect, carried out with drums used for tanning leather, for a truly surprising result.
